     2 MPs to face NIB Investigators today

     A former Minister of Youth and Sports activities, Mus­tapha Ussif, is scheduled to fulfill investigators from the Nationwide Investigation Bureau (NIB) for questioning as we speak on the precincts of Parliament.

    Additionally anticipated to fulfill the investigators is Member of Parliament (MP) for the Gomoa Central Constituency, Mr Kwame Asare Obeng, aka A-Plus, for causes at the moment unspecified.

    The assembly adopted a request by the Nationwide Intelligence Bu­reau to Parliament for the discharge of the 2 MPs for the train.

    Following that, the Speaker of Parliament, Mr Alban Bagbin, in a letter issued by the Clerk of Parliament, authorised the discharge of the 2 to be questioned by the NIB.

    “Please consult with your letter dated March 25, 2025, concerning the request for the discharge of Mustapha Yussif, MP for Yagaba Kubori Constituency, and Kwame Asare Obeng (A Plus), MP for Gomoa Central Constituency.

    “I’m directed by the Rt Hon Speaker to tell you that, hav­ing regard to the restrictions of Articles 117 and 118 of the 1992 Structure of the Republic, the prevailing protocols established with the safety and intelligence businesses, and likewise the general public curiosity, Parliament, in precept, agrees to the request within the above matter,” learn the assertion issued by the Parliamentary Clerk, Mr Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror.

    “Accordingly, the Rt Hon Speaker has directed the Hon­ourable Members to make themselves obtainable for the preliminary interplay along with your officers in Parliament, on Mon­day, April 7, 2025, at 10:00 am on the Sir Emmanuel Charles Quist Convention Room, Workplace of the Speaker,” the assertion mentioned.
