    5 envoys present letters of credence to Pres

     5 diplomats have current­ed their letters of credence to President John Dramani Mahama on their appoint­ments as envoys to Ghana.

    The 5 diplomats are from the continents of Africa, Asia, Eu­rope, and the Caribbean.

    They’re Ambassadors Bul Quoc Hung, Socialist Republic of Vietnam; Athanasios B. Kotsionis, Greece; Antit Mohsen, Tu­nisia; Edouard Nduwimana, Burundi and Lincoln George Downer, the Excessive Commissioner of Jamaica to Ghana.

    The popularity of the brand new envoys mark the start of their official responsibility in Ghana and renewed dedication to strengthening diplomatic ties between Ghana and their respective international locations.

    Receiving their letters of credence on the Presidency in Accra on Tuesday Pres­ident Mahama welcomed the envoys to Ghana and highlighted the significance of a better relations between Ghana and their respective nations.

    President Mahama underscored the necessity to have a everlasting joint commis­sion for cooperation with the international locations to function a platform to determine and discover mutually helpful alternatives in eco­nomic and commerce sectors.

    He revealed Ghana’s intention to vie for the chairmanship of the African Union (AU) Fee in 2029.

    He used the event to attraction to the envoys of Burundi and Tunisia to rally assist for Ghana’s bid when the time comes.
