The Narcotics Management Fee (NACOC) of Ghana has intercepted and seized 73 slabs of suspected cocaine en path to the Netherlands in Europe.
The illicit substance, weighing roughly 89.74 kilogrammes, was found on Wednesday, 23 April, hid in cargo on the Swiss Port in Tema.
Four suspects have been arrested in connection with the bust, though their identities haven’t but been disclosed.
They’re at present in custody as investigations proceed to uncover the total particulars of the operation.

In a separate operation, the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) efficiently intercepted a large consignment of cocaine weighing 3.3 metric tonnes, which was destined for Accra from the Western Area.
The intelligence-led operation passed off on 4 March 2025 at Pedu Junction in Cape Coast, the place authorities found 143 sacks of uncooked cocaine hid beneath sand in a tipper truck.
The automobile, which originated from Takoradi, was heading to Weija in Accra and had two people onboard.
Preliminary subject assessments carried out by NACOC confirmed the substance to be cocaine, with the preliminary haul totalling 2,974 kilogrammes.
Additional investigations led to a second operation on 8 March, throughout which NIB officers raided the residence of a key suspect. This resulted within the discovery of a further 13 sacks and one bag of suspected cocaine, weighing 345.07 kilogrammes.

Complete laboratory evaluation by NACOC and the Ghana Requirements Authority confirmed the whole 3,319.68 kilogramme consignment as high-purity cocaine, with purity ranges ranging between 50% and 70%.
These developments replicate the federal government’s intensified efforts to dismantle drug trafficking networks and improve nationwide safety.
