    3 burnt to death in violence attack in North East Region

    Three people had been tragically killed, and their our bodies had been burnt past recognition in a violent attack that occurred within the early hours of Friday in Nanik, a neighborhood inside the Bunkprugu/Nakpanduri district of the North East Area.

    Among the many victims was Nashiru Maijida, a 27-year-old trainer from Walewale within the West Mamprusi Municipality, who had been assigned to Nanik village two years in the past.

    The charred stays have been transported to Binde Hospital, the place they await post-mortem procedures.

    The assault, reportedly carried out by members of a rival faction from Bimbagu, has left the Nanik neighborhood devastated.

    Based on Joynews, preliminary experiences point out that almost 50 homes had been set ablaze, with extensive damage to property additionally reported.

    This violent outbreak is the most recent escalation in a longstanding dispute between the 2 neighbouring communities, stemming from a contentious choice by conventional authorities to raise the Chief of Nanik to paramountcy standing.

    Previous to this tragic incident, the chiefs and residents of Bimbagu had formally appealed to each the Nationwide Safety and the Nationwide Home of Chiefs to halt the continued efforts to advertise the sub-divisional chief of Nanik, Nanik Daana, to a paramountcy place.

    The Bimbagu neighborhood has expressed robust opposition to the choice made by the North East Regional Home of Chiefs and the Mamprugu Conventional Council, arguing that it undermines their conventional governance construction.

    Throughout a press convention held in Bimbagu, as per Joynews, the neighborhood leaders issued a stern warning to Nanik Daana, stating that he wouldn’t be permitted to enter Bimbagu if the elevation had been to proceed.

    The scenario stays tense as each communities grapple with the aftermath of the violence and the unresolved battle over conventional management.

    Authorities are urged to intervene swiftly to forestall additional escalation and restore peace within the area.
