    Hearts of Oak, Kotoko not banned from using stadiums – GFA denies earlier reports

    The Basic Secretary of the Ghana Soccer Affiliation (GFA), Prosper Harrison Addo, has refuted claims that Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko have been banned from utilizing their residence venues.

    He clarified that after a overview by the GFA Membership Licensing Committee, sure safety considerations have been recognized on the Legon Sports activities Stadium and Baba Yara Stadium, which must be addressed.

    Addo assured that the GFA is collaborating with the Ministry of Sports activities, the affected golf equipment, and stadium facility managers to resolve the problems promptly.

    In an interview on Asempa FM, he shared:

    There have been points with among the security zones, thus requiring extra police personnel, perhaps fifty or extra on either side, to forestall supporters from accessing these areas. The first intention is to construct a metallic gate to dam folks. We’re working with the membership and the Ministry of Sports activities, so we’ll want all events to agree on the safety protocols.

    Hearts, Kotoko at liberty

    Moreover, he clarified that each golf equipment have the freedom to determine if they might use these venues this weekend or not.

    Addo added:

    So, the membership will determine whether or not to play there or at a unique venue this weekend. We urge everybody to stay calm; no one has banned Hearts of Oak from utilizing the Legon Stadium and the Accra Sports activities Stadium. Related renovations must be completed on the Baba Yara Stadium to work on the safety zone gate. It isn’t a matter of Kotoko and Hearts of Oak being thrown out of their venues; we’re working with them to resolve the problem.

    Earlier reports urged that the GFA deemed the power unsuitable for Ghana Premier League (GPL) matches after conducting a facility evaluation and instructed the membership to safe an alternate venue.
