    Ex-CID boss accuses Dampare of blocking Yohuno’s Deputy IGP role

    Former Director-Normal of the Prison Investigations Division (CID), Commissioner of Police (Retired) Vivid Oduro, has accused the fast previous Inspector Normal of Police (IGP), Dr George Akuffo Dampare, of intentionally undermining the authority of Christian Tetteh Yohuno throughout his tenure as Deputy IGP.

    In an interview with Channel One TV on Saturday, twenty second March, Vivid Oduro claimed that Yohuno encountered critical obstacles in finishing up his tasks on account of alleged interference from Dampare.

    He asserted that the previous IGP made it troublesome for Yohuno to assemble a trusted crew by both transferring or interdicting officers he had personally chosen.

    “Christian Tetteh Yohuno was not allowed to perform successfully as Deputy IGP beneath Dampare, and I do know this for a truth,” Mr Oduro said.

When he tried to intervene and requested the IGP to rethink, that too grew to become an issue, resulting in one of many officers being interdicted.
