    Street Academy holds picnic for children

     The Road Academy, a sports activities and tradition oranisa­tion in Accra, on Monday held an Easter picnic for a whole bunch of kids at its premises in Accra.

    It drew underprivileged youngsters from the neighbouring communi­ties who joined up with youngsters of the Academy as a manner of climaxing the Easter festivities.

    They had been fete by administration of the Academy, after which they engaged in fun-filled actions.

    In attendance had been public spirited people reminiscent of former MUSIGHA President, Diana Hopeson; Ms Nunnette Atuahene, a US primarily based Enterprise Growth Marketing consultant, Coach and Mentor, Brigadier Gen. (Rtd) Solomon Osabutey and plenty of others that confirmed solidarity with the acade­my.

    Ataa Lartey, the Director of the Academy, stated the event was to present the youngsters a really feel of the festivities.

    “It’s a second for them to calm down and have enjoyable, and be a part of the Easter celebration. It’s been work within the classroom in addition to sports activities and cultural actions,” he stated.

    Talking to the media, Ms Atuahene, who described her­self as a supporter and good friend of Road Academy, recommended the administration of the academy for the life it has provided to the younger youngsters.

    “I’m right here as a result of Mr Lartey has proven love for Ghanaian youth by means of this organisation for over 40 years. I’ve watched his imaginative and prescient for Road Academy coming to life and increasing much more. Mr Lartey is devoted, ardour­ate and dedicated to the youth unconditionally, and I’m for this completely,” she acknowledged.

    Ms Atuahene can also be the Co-founder for Converge 4 Africa, an company with a mission is to edu­cate, equip and empower to be eco­nomically self-sufficient-through workforce growth and enterprise capability constructing.

    Ms Antoinette Melvin, a US primarily based philanthropist who assist­ed the organisation of the occasion, expressed pleasure about it and urged the Academy to make it an annual affair.

    She additionally offered studying and instructing supplies to assist the upbringing of the much less lucky youngsters underneath the care of the Road Academy.
