    Integration of evidence-based research findings key to resilient, equitable healthcare system -Prof. Akoriyea

    The mixing of evidence-based analysis findings into Ghana’s well being methods is essential to a resilient and equitable healthcare for the citizenry.

    In accordance with the Director Normal of the Ghana Well being Service (GHS), Professor Samuel Kaba Akoriyea, said that such transfer would allow the nation scale improvements more practical­ly whereas guaranteeing that they’re translated into improved well being outcomes.

    Prof. Akoriyea indicated these in a speech learn for him by Dr Samuel Ok. Boakye-Boateng, Higher East Regional Director of Well being Service, on the closing of a two-day well being methods innova­tion convention held in Accra on Wednesday.

    Organised by the Regional Institute of Inhabitants Research (RIPS) in collaboration with the GHS with funding from the Doris Duke Basis (DDF), the convention introduced collectively researchers, policymakers, well being practitioners, and younger researchers to share analysis findings, knowl­edge, and greatest practices to enhance the nation’s well being methods.

    It was held on the theme: ‘Advert­vancing Proof-Based mostly Innovation for Strengthening Well being Methods in Africa.’

    “Implementation analysis offers us with evidence-based methods to handle real-world challenges. It allows us to not solely establish what works but additionally perceive why and the way it works in particular context,” Prof. Akoriyea defined.

    “The mixing of implementa­tion analysis into well being methods is pivotal as we proceed our journey in direction of a resilient and equitable healthcare for all,” he added.

    Prof. Akoriyea once more said that the institution of a detailed working collaboration between well being practitioners, coverage makers, and academia, particularly within the space of well being methods and operation analysis, was necessary in fixing sensible issues that the nation confronted within the well being sector.

    Moreover, he stated that such a collaboration would free well being practitioners to do what they know greatest and get their works revealed in an effort to allow them to remain related nationally and globally.

    The GHS, Prof. Akoriyea em­phasised, remained dedicated to scaling up the revolutionary options and practices mentioned on the convention.

    In accordance with him, the subsequent step to be taken by the GHS would contain pilot programmes to im­plement key concepts, improvement of capacity-building initiatives, and the creation of platforms to proceed fostering collaborations.

    The Director of RIPS, Professor Ayaga Agula Bawah, expressed  gratitude to the organisers of the convention, DDF and all stakehold­ers for his or her help in making the occasion a hit.

    Furthermore, he urged the partici­pants on the convention to deepen partnerships, mentor the subsequent technology, and infuse coverage with proof.
