Matilda Asante-Asiedu, Second Deputy BoG Governor.
The Financial institution of Ghana (BoG) has introduced that Matilda Asante-Asiedu has been formally sworn in because the establishment’s Second Deputy Governor.
The ceremony passed off on Thursday, Could 2, 2025, and was officiated by President John Dramani Mahama on the Jubilee Home.
Mrs. Asante-Asiedu’s appointment is in keeping with Part 17 of the Financial institution of Ghana Act, 2002 (Act 612), as amended by Part 11 of the Financial institution of Ghana (Modification) Act, 2016 (Act 918).
With a profession spanning management roles in Ghana’s banking sector, Mrs. Asante-Asiedu brings to the central financial institution deep expertise and experience.
Previous to her appointment, she served as Group Head of Retail Banking at Entry Financial institution Ghana PLC, the place she was instrumental in driving customer-centred methods and inclusive finance.
She is a Chartered Government Banker, licensed by the Chartered Institute of Bankers, Ghana (2024).
Her tutorial credentials embrace an MBA in Advertising and marketing from GIMPA Enterprise College (2021), an MA in Journalism Research from Cardiff College (2005), and journalism diplomas from the Ghana Institute of Journalism and Berlin (2000).
