The Ghana Police Service, by an intelligence-led operation, has arrested a suspected drug vendor for possessing 92 slabs of substance, believed to be Indian hemp.
Bukari Yakubu was grabbed at his residence at Akatsi within the Volta Area, after police positioned surveillance on him.
“Investigation carried out to date signifies that Bukari Yakubu has been dealing in narcotics inside Akatsi and its surrounding areas,” a police assertion, copied to the Ghana Information Company disclosed.
The police stated a search carried out in Yakubu’s residence, led to the retrieval of 92 slabs of a substance wrapped in yellowish materials, suspected to be Indian hemp, in addition to two Royal motorbikes, supposedly stolen.
Upon preliminary interrogation, the suspect admitted possession of the objects, and “he’s at the moment in police custody, aiding with investigations and shall be put earlier than the court docket,” in response to the assertion.
