    SWAG unveils c’ttees for  Golden Jubilee edition of awards

     The Sports activities Writers Affiliation of Ghana (SWAG) has introduced the formation of respective working committees for the organisation of the Golden Jubilee version of its flagship annual awards.

    The committees embrace the fiftieth SWAG Awards Planning Committee and the SWAG Awards Nominations committee.

    The committees, based on a press release signed by the asso­ciation’s president, Mr Kwabena Yeboah, will play essential roles within the planning of a memorable fiftieth anniversary of the celebrated SWAG Awards and establish out­standing sports activities perfomers.

    The Planning Committee could be chaired by Mr Dickson Kyere Duah, a Member of Parliament for Berekum West and Bono Regional Vice Chairman of the SWAG.

    Miss Rosalind Amoh, a Deputy Editor of the Each day Graphic, would additionally chair the SWAG Awards Nominations Committee.

    Different members of the SWAG Awards Committee are Mr Kwad­wo Baah Agyemang, former CEO of Ghana Digital Centre, Mr Mau­rice Quansah, Sports activities Editor of Graphic Communications Group Restricted, and Ms Rosemary Mbro­ba Gaisie, previously of the Ghana Broadcasting Company.

    The remainder are Ms Veronica Com­mey, Deputy Director Normal of the Nationwide Sports activities Authority, Mr Sammy Heywood Okine, a former Deputy SWAG Normal Secretary, Mr William Dodzi Ezah, former SWAG Normal Secretary, Mr. Kenneth Odeng Adade, Deputy Normal Secretary of SWAG, and Mr Charles Kwadwo Ntim of Homebase Media.

    Anticipated to help Ms Roslind Koramah Amoh, on the Awards Nomination Committee are Mr Kyei Baffour representing SWAG Western and Western North, Vibrant Yeboah Taylor, Sports activities Statistician and Historian, and Ga­briel Obu, professional in least financed sports activities.

    Others are Matilda Dimedo, Girls’s soccer, Francis Ofori from the SWAG Secretariat, Prince Obiba Ayim Poakwa, SWAG Larger Accra, Davis Attuquaye Clottey, SWAG Volta/Oti, Pre­cious Sermevor, SWAG Bono/ Ahafo, John Kwasi Arthur, SWAG Central, and Francis Okyere, SWAG Japanese.

    “We’re thrilled to announce these committees as we put together to rejoice 50 years of the SWAG Awards. Their dedication and experience shall be instrumental in making this anniversary celebration a memorable one.

    “The members of each commit­tees deliver a wealth of expertise and information in sports activities journal­ism, administration, and occasion planning. SWAG is assured that their collective efforts will end in a profitable and impactful celebra­tion,” the assertion indicated.
