    Auditor-General to submit interim report on contractor claims for payments to begin – Finance Minister

    The Auditor-Basic is predicted to ship an interim audit report on excellent contractor claims within the coming days, paving the best way for the federal government to begin clearing these funds.

    This replace emerged throughout a gathering between Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson and Ecobank Group CEO Jeremy Awori.

    Authorities inherited contractor arrears totaling GH¢67 billion and has dedicated to auditing and settling these liabilities over a four-year interval.

    Dr. Forson emphasised the administration’s resolve to stop the buildup of latest arrears, highlighting current amendments to the Public Monetary Administration Act aimed toward enhancing self-discipline and transparency in public procurement and contract administration.

    As Ghana’s largest monetary establishment, Ecobank was urged to deepen its help for the nation’s financial restoration, particularly in personal sector improvement and agriculture.

    In response, Ecobank CEO Jeremy Awori expressed the financial institution’s dedication to supporting Ghana’s restoration, signaling readiness to extend lending and strengthen strategic collaboration with the federal government.

    The assembly was additionally attended by the Minister for Power and Inexperienced Transition, John Abdulai Jinapor.
