    GETFund warns public against scammers

     The Ghana Ed­ucation Belief Fund (GET­Fund) has cau­tioned potential beneficiaries of its programmes and companies towards people looking for to use them by charging unau­thorised charges.

    In line with the Fund, the registration for its companies was free and didn’t require the charging of charges at any stage of its scholarship software or award course of.

    In a press release issued and copied to The Ghanaian Occasions, GETFund warned that any de­mand for cost in alternate for registration or entry to its companies was unauthorised and probably fraudulent.

    “No particular person or organi­sation has been authorised to gather cash on its behalf for scholarship awards,” the state­ment stated.

    The Fund additional stated no particular person or organisation had been authorised to gather mon­ey on its behalf for scholarship awards.

    The general public is suggested to report any suspicious exercise on to GETFund or rele­vant authorities.

    In line with the Fund, some purported fraudulent individ­uals claimed to be officers from GETFund and had been exploiting potential beneficia­ries whereas promising them of GETFund scholarship awards and companies.

    These fraudulent individuals re­quest cash from beneficiaries of GETFund with the pledge to help the beneficiaries get the scholarship award.

    “GETFund is not going to be held chargeable for any losses incurred on account of engagement with these fraudulent actors,” it stated.

    The assertion due to this fact, urged potential candidates and the general public to stay vigilant and keep away from falling sufferer to those scams.

    The Fund reiterated its dedication to transparency and honest entry to instructional alternatives for all certified Ghanaians.
