    Mahama re-nominates MMDCEs in Ashanti, Upper West and Upper East Regions

    President John Mahama has re-nominated a number of Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) throughout three areas, pending approval by their respective Assemblies.

    The announcement was made by the Ministry of Native Authorities, Decentralisation and Non secular Affairs in an announcement signed by the sector Minister, Ahmed Ibrahim (MP), on Could 28, 2025. The nominations have been made in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Structure and Part 20(1) of the Native Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), as amended.

    Within the Ashanti Area, the re-nominated officers embody Sarah Amoakoaa for the Asante-Akim North Municipal Meeting, Albert Dakurah for the Adansi Asokwa District Meeting, and Emmanuel Jackson Agumah for the Afigya Kwabre North District Meeting.

    Within the Higher West Area, Adamu Sayibu has been re-nominated for the Wa East District Meeting, whereas Mary Haruna retains her nomination for the Nadowli Kaleo District Meeting.

    For the Higher East Area, Ariku Martin Akudugu has been re-nominated for the Binduri District Meeting.
