The Minister for Communication, Digital Expertise and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George has disclosed that authorities has formally reopened discussions with PayPal to revive full entry of its companies to Ghanaian customers
Talking at a press briefing throughout Authorities’s Accountability Collection, Mr. George stated the Ministry is working intently with the Financial institution of Ghana and different key stakeholders to fulfill the technical, regulatory, and monetary necessities wanted for PayPal to totally function within the nation.
The Authorities Accountability Collection is a brand new initiative by the Ministry to replace the general public on key selections, reforms, and progress being made to make sure transparency, worth for cash, and accountable governance within the digital and communication sectors.
Mr. George revealed that PayPal’s Regional Authorities Relations Workforce had issued a compliance roadmap in June 2025, outlining the circumstances Ghana should meet for whitelist reinstatement.
He stated steps are already being taken to fulfill these circumstances.
