    Cyber Security Authority; Ghana police arrests 65 individuals between May and July 2025

    The Cyber Safety Authority (CSA), in collaboration with the Felony Investigations Division (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, has arrested 65 people throughout a sequence of joint operations aimed toward dismantling cybercrime and on-line human trafficking networks throughout the nation.

    At a joint press convention held on Monday, August 4, CID Director‑Basic, Commissioner of Police (COP) Lydia Yaako Donkor and the Appearing Director-Basic of the Cyber Safety Authority (CSA), Mr Divine Selase Agbeti shared particulars of 4 intelligence-led operations carried out between Could and July 2025.

    The operations focused hotspots in Dodowa, Bortianor, Teshie-Nungua, and Sogakope, resulting in the arrest of 65 suspects, 47 overseas nationals and 18 Ghanaians.

    Within the first operation at Ubuntu Property in Dodowa on July 4, 25 overseas nationals have been arrested. Twenty-three of them have been recognized as victims and later repatriated.

    Two Ghanaian suspects are at present in custody. Safety officers additionally seized 40 laptops, 30 cell phones, and Starlink web gear.

    On July 17, one other operation in Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfro led to the arrest of 16 folks. 13 overseas nationals are being processed for repatriation whereas three Ghanaians stay in police custody. Twenty-two laptops and 11 cell phones have been retrieved.

    The third raid occurred on July 28 close to Junction Mall within the Teshie-Nungua space, leading to 14 arrests, 13 overseas nationals and one Ghanaian. Investigations into their actions are ongoing.

    A remaining operation was carried out between Could 29 and June 1 in Sogakope and Sege. Ten Ghanaians have been picked up for allegedly impersonating Members of Parliament and different public figures on-line. The suspected ringleader, who initially fled, was later captured in Sege on June 1.

    The CSA mentioned these actions are a part of a nationwide push to strengthen cybersecurity enforcement and defend victims of digital crimes. Officers thanked the CID, worldwide companions, and the general public for his or her assist.

    The authority is subsequently encouraging on residents to report suspicious on-line actions by calling or texting 292.
