    Shatta Wale, former senior NSB officer, confirmed to be on EOCO's radar

    The Financial and Organised Crime Workplace (EOCO) has indicated that it’ll, within the coming days, invite Ghanaian dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly often called Shatta Wale, in addition to a former senior officer of the Nationwide Indicators Bureau (NSB), for questioning.

    In accordance with EOCO, the upcoming invites and subsequent investigations are linked to a case involving stolen luxurious autos smuggled from the US to Ghana. These prison actions are alleged to have been orchestrated by a syndicate led by 31-year-old Nana Kwabena Amuah, who’s at the moment serving a seven-year sentence within the US.

    Following the current seizure of a Lamborghini Urus from Shatta Wale, EOCO launched a press release describing each the musician and the unnamed former NSB officer as “individuals of curiosity.”

    The 2 people have been assessed as individuals of curiosity and might be invited by EOCO to help in additional ongoing investigations within the coming days

    EOCO could share the ultimate investigations report with the FBI and the Justice Division as a part of our ongoing cooperation

    Whereas the identification of the previous NSB official has not been formally disclosed, hypothesis suggests it could be Kwabena Adu Boahene, the previous head of the bureau. His identify has surfaced in reference to a car allegedly stolen and shipped into Ghana , a car now on the FBI and US Justice Division’s wished listing.

    EOCO additional revealed that American authorities plan to problem a proper Mutual Authorized Help (MLA) request to the Authorities of Ghana for the repatriation of the seized car, which types a part of Amuah’s $4.7 million restitution order.
