    Germany mourns with Ghana after deadly helicopter crash

    The German Embassy in Accra has expressed deep sorrow following the tragic helicopter crash that claimed eight lives within the Adansi space of the Ashanti Area on Wednesday afternoon, August 6, 2025.

    In a press launch issued the identical day, the Embassy stated it stands in grief and solidarity with the Authorities and folks of Ghana throughout this troublesome time.

    “Our ideas and prayers are with the Authorities, households and associates of the victims,” the assertion stated.

    The Embassy famous that among the many victims had been honourable public servants, together with two ministers, with whom it had labored carefully.

    “Their dedication to Ghana’s growth, their imaginative and prescient, and their private heat will probably be deeply missed,” it added.

    The crash, which concerned a army helicopter, has been described by the Authorities of Ghana as a nationwide tragedy.

    Flags are to fly at half-mast throughout the nation in honour of the deceased.
