    Stop circulating gory images of helicopter Crash – GJA appeals

     The Ghana Journalists As­sociation (GJA) has made a robust enchantment to media practitioners and most people to instantly stop the circulation of gory photographs of the current helicopter crash.

    The GJA expressed profound devastation over the tragic loss of life of 5 high-ranking authorities officers and a three-member Ghana Airforce crew within the crash on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, within the Adansi District of the Ashan­ti Area.

    The Affiliation condoled with the bereaved households, the President, the Authorities of Ghana, and the Ghana Armed Forces.

    In accordance with the GJA, the deceased have been “gallant servants of the nation” who have been on a mission to deal with the crucial na­tional problem of unlawful small-scale mining, generally often called “galamsey.”

    The Affiliation took the chance to extol their virtues and dedication to the beliefs of integrity, service, and progress for Ghana.

    The GJA additionally recalled its cordial relations with Dr Edward Omane-Boamah and Dr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, two of the deceased officers, throughout their tenures as Minister of Communi­cations and Deputy Minister of Info, respectively.

    The GJA additionally counseled safety, emergency, and hospital officers for his or her “tireless” work in recovering the stays of the deceased from the wreckage.

    The assertion additionally indicated that as a mark of respect, the Nationwide Government has droop­ed all deliberate actions of the Affiliation till additional discover.
