    Ministry of Roads urges assemblies to seek clearance before mounting billboards on roads

    The Ministry of Roads and Highways has cautioned assemblies throughout the nation to work with the suitable regional highway businesses earlier than granting permits for commercials or notices alongside highway corridors.

    This follows the set up of an unauthorized billboard at a piece of the Flowerpot Interchange in Accra.

    In a press release issued on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, the Ministry mentioned the billboard breaches the Ghana Requirements Authority’s Commercial Specification for Outside Indicators (GS 847:2019), the Street Site visitors Act (Act 540), and the Street Site visitors Laws, 2012 (LI 2180).
