    The car was linked to property belonging to convicted Ghanaian fraudster Nana Kwabena Amuah, presently serving an 86-month jail sentence in the USA. Though Shatta Wale was not personally accused of wrongdoing, the automotive was retrieved as a part of a global asset restoration operation.

    Initially, Shatta Wale co-operated with the authorities and voluntarily surrendered the car.
