Followers of Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale have voiced their anger and frustration on the Financial and Organised Crime Workplace (EOCO), with many directing curses at its Govt Director, Raymond Archer, following the artiste’s latest detention.

Supporters gathered outdoors EOCO’s headquarters in Accra, brandishing placards and praying for ancestral intervention as they referred to as for Shatta Wale’s speedy launch. A video shared on-line captured a visibly distraught fan, main chants towards Archer.

    Talking passionately, one admirer stated:

I got here right here early this morning. I ought to have been at work, however I’m right here to help Shatta Wale. He helped me via my lowest moments following my mom’s dying. His songs, not cash, healed me.

These impassioned shows come as Shatta Wale stays in custody whereas EOCO investigates monetary irregularities tied to his yellow Lamborghini Urus, seized earlier this month as a part of a world probe into alleged fraud.

Based on EOCO, the car in query, a 2019 Lamborghini Urus, had been flagged by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the USA Division of Justice as a part of the proceeds from a $4 million fraud scheme involving a Ghanaian, Nana Kwabena Amuah, who’s presently serving a jail sentence in the USA. Based on the assertion, Shatta Wale has thus far been unable to offer the identification of the particular person from whom he bought the Lamborghini. He reportedly advised investigators that he purchased it from the “Avenue”, presumably via a person referred to as “Zak”, who could have contacted him through WhatsApp. He added that he now not has the contact particulars of this supposed vendor. Moreover, the musician has been unable to offer any receipts or switch paperwork proving possession, other than a customs declaration doc. Notably, that doc bears the title of Nana Kwabena Amuah—the jailed Ghanaian fraudster linked to the U.S. investigation.
