The Ghana Nationwide Affiliation of Farmers and Fishermen (GNAFF) has given the Common Secretary of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Affiliation (GRNMA), Dr David Tenkorang Twum, 24 hours to retract remarks it says had been insulting to farmers.
GNAFF stated it was outraged by feedback Dr Tenkorang Twum allegedly made on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme, the place he was reported to have used unprintable phrases in opposition to Well being Minister Kwabena Mintah Akandoh and likewise attacked farmers.
In an announcement signed by President of GNAFF Michael Tetteh Kwetey (LL.M), stated it condemned what it described as “unwarranted and disrespectful” remarks.
The group added that it was “deeply shocked” such phrases may come from the chief of knowledgeable affiliation.
The affiliation careworn that farmers and fishermen are the spine of Ghana’s financial system and deserve respect, not ridicule.
It warned that if Dr Tenkorang Twum did not apologise inside the deadline, it might be pressured to take motion to defend the dignity of its members.
GNAFF urged Ghanaians to proceed respecting the sacrifices and contributions of farmers and fishermen, describing them because the lifeline of the nation’s improvement.
