The Member of Parliament (MP) for Sekondi, Blay Nyamekye Armah, has raised concern over the absence of a paramount chief in Sekondi for greater than 20 years, saying it has slowed down the constituency’s improvement.

He argued that the dearth of a conventional chief has weakened each political and cultural affect, leaving Sekondi behind when it comes to infrastructure and social progress.

Mr. Armah famous that whereas the Western Area contributes considerably to Ghana’s progress, assets are sometimes directed to different areas, leaving Sekondi underdeveloped.

He pressured that the presence of a chief, mixed with sturdy political management, would give the individuals of Sekondi a stronger voice to demand reforms and improvement.

The MP welcomed remarks by the President of the Western Regional Home of Chiefs on the matter and mentioned he was hopeful that excellent news can be introduced quickly.
