    Z-9 Helicopter Crash: Investigation Board begins work – Ministry of Defence

    The Ministry of Defence has introduced that the Board established to research the current Z-9 helicopter crash has formally began its work.

    Based on the Ministry, the Board is chaired by the Nationwide Safety Coordinator, with members drawn from the Ghana Air Power and the Plane Accident and Incident Investigation and Prevention Bureau of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority.

    The Ministry additional defined that the US of America was supporting the work of the Board by offering recommendation and help by means of investigators from the U.S. Air Power.

    It added that the Board can also name on different native and worldwide consultants and establishments to help with the investigation.

    The Ministry recalled that on the day of the crash, which occurred on August 6, 2025, a preliminary crew was fashioned to gather proof in assist of the Board’s work.

    The crew is anticipated to current its findings to the Board in the present day.

    The Ministry disclosed that the Investigation Board had been given 30 days to finish its work and submit a ultimate report.
