Bryan Acheampong has not engaged in tribal politics; ignore the propaganda – Pius Hadzide

Pius Enam Hadzide, an aide to New Patriotic Occasion (NPP) flagbearer hopeful Dr Bryan Acheampong, has firmly dismissed claims that his boss has resorted to tribal or spiritual appeals in his marketing campaign.

Talking on Channel One TV on Monday, 25 August, Mr Hadzide confused that Dr Acheampong has by no means urged celebration members to help him on the premise of ethnicity or religion.

“I wish to placed on file that Dr Bryan Acheampong has not made any tribal feedback,” he stated.

“At no level has he requested members of the celebration, its management or delegates to vote for him due to tribe or faith. He’s not the one making such remarks and can’t be accused of doing so.”

His clarification follows intense hypothesis on social media after a video clip circulated suggesting that Dr Acheampong had blamed fellow flagbearer contender and former Vice-President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, for the long-running Mamprusi–Kusasi battle in northern Ghana.

Over the weekend, the Acheampong marketing campaign issued an announcement rejecting the allegation, describing the video as “mischievously pieced collectively and venomously captioned.”

The marketing campaign maintained that Dr Acheampong’s phrases had been intentionally taken out of context to create a misunderstanding of tribal hostility.

“Dr Acheampong has not, at any level, blamed former Vice-President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for the Kusasi–Mamprusi battle,” the assertion stated.

“Within the authentic video, he made it clear that Dr Bawumia was a sufferer of circumstances somewhat than a supply of division.”
