    Donations to August 6 tragedy fund hit GH₵3.57m and US$20,000- Presidency

    The Presidency has introduced that contributions to the Kids Assist Fund, created for the welfare of kids who misplaced their mother and father within the August 6 helicopter crash, have reached GH₵3,576,600 and US$20,000.

    The replace, issued on Friday, August 29, 2025, mentioned the quantity represents donations obtained between August 19 and 28.

    Main donors embody Ghana Airport Ltd., ARB Apex Financial institution PLC, STL Basis, Olam Agric, Constancy Financial institution Ghana, ADB Financial institution, GLICO Normal Insurance coverage and the Nationwide Insurance coverage Fee.

    In keeping with a press release from the presidency issued Senior Presidential Advisor on Governmental Affairs and Coordinator of the Fund, Dr. Valerie Sawyerr indicated that
    particular person donors reminiscent of Kennedy Hedoe, Peter Adongo, Mensah Michael, Appaul Wiredu Lateef, Samuel Hodalor and Dauda Iddi additionally contributed.

    The Presidency mentioned donations will be made via Stanbic Financial institution Ghana accounts on the Stanbic Heights Department, Accra.

    It added that cheques and drafts needs to be addressed to “Kids Assist Fund 6825,” and famous that names of donors will proceed to be revealed weekly.

    The Kids Assist Fund was arrange by authorities to safe the welfare and training of kids affected by the crash.
