    MoGCSP extends urgent support to victims of land dispute clashes

    The Ministry of Gender, Youngsters and Social Safety (MoGCSP) has supplied reduction to households displaced by violent land dispute clashes in Gbenyiri within the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah Area.

    The battle, which occurred on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, left a number of individuals useless and compelled many ladies, kids, and households to hunt refuge at a short lived camp managed by the Ghana Crimson Cross on the Sawla District Police Headquarters.

    Main the delegation, Minister for Gender, Youngsters and Social Safety, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, distributed cooked meals and water to the victims and guaranteed them of presidency’s continued help.

    She stated the Ministry would activate emergency interventions beneath the Social Safety Act, together with meals reduction, psychosocial providers, and safety measures to safeguard the weak.

    The Minister emphasised authorities’s dedication to restoring dignity and hope to affected households, stressing that girls, kids, and the aged should not bear the heaviest burden of battle.

    She expressed gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for prioritizing weak populations and counseled the Ghana College Feeding Secretariat and its caterers for mobilizing meals rapidly for the displaced.

    As a part of her mission, Dr. Lartey, accompanied by the Savannah Regional Minister, paid a courtesy name on the Sawlawura to strengthen collaboration with conventional and regional authorities.

    She urged calm, encouraging all events to resolve the battle peacefully by means of dialogue.

    The Ministry is working with the Savannah Regional Safety Council (REGSEC), NADMO, the Ghana Crimson Cross, and different companions to make sure steady supply of meals, shelter, and important providers till normalcy is restored.
