    Breaking: Ghana Police arrest 2 more suspects in connection with Kotoko fan’s death

    The Ghana Police Service has arrested two extra suspects in reference to the violent disturbances that marred the soccer match between Nsoatreman FC and Kumasi Asante Kotoko FC.

    The 2 suspects,Β Isaac Ofosu and Yeboah Augustine, are at the moment in police custody and are helping authorities with the continuing investigation.

    This newest growth brings the entire variety of arrests associated to the February 2, 2025, incident in Nsoatre, Bono Area, to 5.

    Earlier arrests

    Earlier three individuals together with Nsoatreman FC proprietorΒ and former Minister for Employment and Labour Relations, Ignatius Baffour-Awuah, had been arrested.

    Baffour-Awuah and one suspect, Joseph Kyeremeh were granted bail andΒ are anticipated to seem earlier than the Sunyani District Justice of the Peace Courtroom B on Monday, February 17, 2025.

    A 3rd suspect, Agyemang Duah Owusu, was arrested on Monday and has been remanded in police custody.

    In mild of the incident, the Ghana Soccer Affiliation (GFA) introduced the suspension of all Matchday 20 fixtures to make sure justice is served and to deal with the influence of the violence on the integrity of the game

    Asante Kotoko suspended all football related activities till justice is served.
