    Minister promises to combat insecurity in North East Region

    The North East Regional Minister, Ibrahim Tia, has reaffirmed his dedication to combating insecurity, together with armed theft, by implementing efficient measures designed to safeguard lives and property.

    He emphasised the significance of a coordinated method involving legislation implement­ment companies, neighborhood engagement and preventive methods to reinforce safety within the area.

    The Regional Minister gave the peace of mind throughout an interplay with safety personnel and residents at Naliregu, as a part of measures in response to rising issues about security and the necessity to shield residents.

    Mr Tia acknowledged the issues of commuters who typically face assaults on main highways.

    He assured the those that his administra­tion would collaborate with the Higher East Regional Minister and safety companies to make sure an efficient response to growing safety threats.

    “The protection of our residents is our high pri­ority. We are going to improve safety operations in high-crime areas, increase police patrols, and arrange emergency response groups to handle any threats promptly,” Mr Tia acknowledged.

    He appealed to the police and different safety companies to beef up safety to clamp down on the excessive charge of indiscipline.

    “Indiscipline is regularly rearing its ugly head in our as soon as peaceable and morally re­spected area. It’s unlucky our township is drifting away from the way in which for which it was established by our forefathers. It’s time we stamp authority on this anti-social canker,” Mr Tia added.

    He then appealed to residents to be vigilant and report crimes and violence to the police.

    Minister Tia cautioned that any individual or group of individuals caught participating in legal actions can be handled severely to discourage others.

    He once more indicated that “the times of crimi­nal gangs tormenting residents of the area are over, and the safety companies would take care of any crime swiftly.”

    Mr Tia lamented that not too long ago, numerous lives had been misplaced by robberies, and known as on the residents to volunteer infor­mation to the safety companies as a way to apprehend individuals who had been perpetrating varied crimes within the area.
