    Ablekuma North: Police officer captured in viral video assaulting journalist interdicted

    The Ghana Police Service has interdicted a senior officer for assaulting a journalist throughout the ongoing rerun of parliamentary elections within the Ablekuma North constituency.

    In keeping with an announcement signed by Assistant Superintendent of Police Richmond Mensah, the officer has been withdrawn from election responsibility and subsequently interdicted.     Ablekuma North: Police officer captured in viral video assaulting journalist interdicted

    The incident occurred on the Church of Pentecost, North Odorkor 4 Polling Station, within the Tswuim Electoral Space of the Ablekuma North constituency.

    Within the viral footage, the journalist, recognized as Banahene Agyeku of GHOne TV, is seen surrounded by 5 cops in what seems to be a heated change. In the course of the altercation, one officer, whose id has not but been disclosed, is seen delivering repeated slaps to the journalist.
