Referees supervisor of the Ghana Soccer Affiliation (GFA), Alexander Kotey, has hinted that the long-awaited introduction of Video Assistant Referee (VAR) know-how within the Ghana Premier League could quickly be again on the desk.
This follows the arrival of Adesa Manufacturing Restricted (APL) because the league’s new broadcast companion.
APL was formally unveiled by the GFA forward of the 2025/26 soccer season and can deal with manufacturing duties for the league.
Talking to Akoma FM, Kotey revealed that poor broadcast high quality in earlier seasons had been the primary impediment to implementing VAR.
