The Asogli State Council has expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of eight individuals within the current navy helicopter crash, describing them as nationwide heroes who served Ghana with dedication and braveness.
In a press release signed by its Secretary, Stephen Tetteh, the Council stated the Agbogbomefia, Togbe Afede XIV, and the chiefs and folks of Asogli had obtained the information with nice ache.
The crash claimed the lives of Hon. Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Hon. Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed, Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, Dr. Samuel Sarpong, Mr. Samuel Aboagye, Squadron Chief Peter Befemi Anala, Flying Officer Twum Ampadu, and Flight Sergeant Ernest Addo.
The Council prolonged condolences to President John Dramani Mahama, the management and members of the Nationwide Democratic Congress (NDC), the households of the deceased, and all who have been affected by the tragedy.
It urged Ghanaians to respect the privateness of the bereaved households and keep away from hypothesis or divisive feedback, noting that the second known as for unity, compassion, and quiet reflection.
