    Bole Chief Imam bans extravagant Islamic weddings in area

    The Office of the Bole Chief Imam has positioned an instantaneous ban on extravagant weddings within the Bole Conventional Space to deal with excessive prices and deviant behaviour related to such ceremonies.

    This was introduced through an announcement launched on 5 March, signed by the Chief Imam of the realm, Alhaji Mohammed Iddrisu.

    I’m grateful to tell your esteem workplace that I, the Chief Imam (Alhaji Mohammed Iddrisu) of Bole Conventional Space, after a number of council conferences with the Islamic clergy, want to put a ban on extravagant Islamic weddings inside my jurisdiction which doesn’t conform to Islamic practices beginning on Wednesday, fifth March, 2025.

    The ban requires people set to marry to conduct their weddings in a way that adheres to Islamic practices.

    Among the many practices that will likely be banned at marriage ceremony ceremonies are:
