In an act of outstanding bravery, a younger Ghanaian man overpowered three armed robbers who attacked him and his mom at their house in Lakeside, Accra.
In a video shared on social media, the person—whose title has not been made public—is seen surrounded by neighbours, who hail him as a “hero”.
Recounting the incident, the younger man revealed that through the tried theft, one of many assailants threatened to shoot him. Nonetheless, he stood his floor and refused to point out concern. He mentioned:

There have been three of them. After they tried to shoot, I dared them and mentioned I wasn’t scared—so he shot on the flooring.
Throughout the encounter, one of many robbers was killed, one other was arrested after sustaining accidents, and the third managed to flee. Gadgets together with cell phones, a laptop computer, and automobile keys—initially seized by the attackers—had been later recovered close by.

This incident comes amid an increase in armed theft instances throughout the nation. In a separate case, the Ghana Police Service not too long ago arrested three people linked to a violent robbery in Wassa Afransie in the Western Region.
The suspects are accused of stealing gold price GHS199,000, together with different valuables, through the assault.
In accordance with an official assertion posted on the Police Service’s Fb web page on Saturday, 26 April 2025, the arrests had been made following an intelligence-led operation by the Western Central Regional Command.

The suspects have been recognized as Felix Adjei (alias Africa or Nana Adjei), Emmanuel Kelvin (a Nigerian nationwide), and Kofi Appiah (alias Kesse).
In the meantime, the Police Service has reaffirmed its dedication to cracking down on theft and violent crime nationwide.
