Former Tourism Minister, Catherine Afeku has been appointed as World Tourism Discussion board Institute’s (WTFI) Model Ambassador for Africa.
She can be accountable for amplifying Africa’s voice on the worldwide tourism and funding stage.
The appointment was confirmed in an official letter signed by WTFI President Bulut Bağcı, who described Mrs. Afeku’s choice as pivotal to the Institute’s technique of deepening its footprint throughout Africa and unlocking the continent’s untapped potential in tourism-driven funding.

Catherine Afeku’s appointment is seen as a recognition of her excellent management and worldwide advocacy for tourism. Throughout her tenure as Ghana’s Minister of Tourism, Arts and Tradition from 2017, she spearheaded daring initiatives akin to “See Ghana, Eat Ghana, Put on Ghana”, the Yr of Return, AFRIMA Cass Africa, and world cultural exchanges that repositioned Ghana as a tourism and cultural powerhouse.
