    Catholic Bishop joins Muslims in Wa to observe Eid-ul Fitr prayers

    Addressing the congregation forward of the prayers, the Christian-Muslim Dialogue Coordinator, Father Aloysius Nuolabong, who delivered a speech on behalf of the Bishop, acknowledged the proximity of Ramadan with the Christian season of Lent, highlighting the distinctive alternative for Christians and Muslims to come back collectively in a spirit of purification, prayer, and charity.

    The Bishop emphasised the significance of interfaith dialogue and cooperation, citing his latest visits to Islamic communities within the area.

    “After my Episcopal Ordination in August 2024, I had the pleasure to go to the Islamic communities within the Wa Metropolitan city and among the cities within the Higher West area”.

    Bishop Bomansaan appealed to Islamic and Christian charity companies and NGOs to help widows, single moms, and weak youth with micro-financing initiatives and vocational coaching alternatives.

    He praised the Higher West Regional Chief Imam’s institution of the “Instructional Endowment Fund,” which supplies high quality schooling to good college students, no matter their spiritual background.
    “On this regard, I’m notably impressed by the Higher West Regional Chief Imam’s institution of the Instructional Endowment fund,” he acknowledged.

    The two-rakat open-air particular prayers session was led by the Wa Central Mosque Chief Imam, Alhaji Ahmed Yahaya, and attended by many together with the Yeri-Naa, Alhaji Sualihu Mumuni Sungumo, and the Overlord of the Wala Kingdom, Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV.
