    Catholic Bishops accept Pres Mahama’s apology

    The Catholic Bishops’ Confer­ence has accepted the apology from President Mahama for the omission dedicated by means of delaying the clergy’s invitation to the Nationwide Training Discussion board, presently happening at Ho, the Volta Regional capital.

    Most Rev. Fianu lamented the unfriendly nature some training administrators associated to the Catholic Church, which based on him didn’t promote collaboration within the supply of high quality training.

    He stated that the over-popula­tion at second cycle colleges which affected character formation, teacher-student ratio, trainer con­tact hours with particular person college students and correct supervision was of concern to the Catholic Bishops.

    Most Rev. Fianu stated the Cath­olic Church was towards the usage of its college compounds for struc­tural growth with none engagement with the church.

    President Mahama’s apology was in response to a joint state­ment issued in Accra by the Ghana Catholic Bishops’ Convention (GCBC) and the Christian Council of Ghana (CCG), expressing their disappointment within the authorities following their exclusion from the continuing training discussion board.
