    Chamber of Aquaculture and ASA/WISHH sign MoU to strengthen Ghana’s Aquaculture Industry

    The Chamber of Aquaculture Ghana (COA) and the American Soybean Affiliation’s (ASA)/World Initiative for Soy in Human Well being (ASA/WISHH) have joined forces aimed toward enhancing aquaculture sustainability and growth in Ghana. The partnership was formalized via the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

    Through the occasion, Mr. Chris Slemp, Director of WISHH’s Africa Division, acknowledged COA’s contributions to the Ghanaian aquaculture sector. He reaffirmed WISHH’s dedication to actively interact in COA’s annual Aquaculture Ghana convention, a pivotal gathering for business stakeholders.

    Moreover, Mr. Slemp emphasised the significance of addressing employment challenges throughout the business. The partnership will present employment alternatives for graduates of the WISHH coaching program, which can equip people with technical experience and subject expertise.

    Director of Analysis, Statistics and Data Administration on the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Mr. Ishmael Browne, reaffirmed the ministry’s sturdy ties with the Chamber of Agriculture. He expressed optimism that the MoU would considerably contribute to the development of Ghana’s aquaculture sector.

    Chief Govt of the Chamber of Aquaculture, Jacob Adzikah, counseled WISHH’s early help for the Chamber and welcomed the formalization of their partnership. He introduced the approaching launch of a COA job portal, which can permit expert aquaculture professionals to attach with potential employers. This platform will even function a useful resource for interns enrolled in WISHH’s coaching initiative.

    Highlighting the Aquaculture Ghana convention as a premier platform for showcasing expertise throughout the aquaculture worth chain, Mr. Adzikah underscored its significance in fostering business development.

    Expressing her enthusiasm for the collaboration, WISHH’s Govt Director, Madam Gena Perry, emphasised the potential for expanded alternatives for COA, WISHH, and the broader Ghanaian aquaculture business.
