    Daniel Domelevo was sacked for fighting corruption – Samson Anyenini

    Authorized practitioner and host of JoyNews’ Newsfile, Samson Lardy Anyenini, has criticised the removing of former Auditor-Common Daniel Yaw Domelevo in 2024, explaining it was a direct results of his anti-corruption efforts.

    Talking on the Communication and Media Research Pageant 2025 on the College of Schooling, Winneba, on Thursday, August 14, Mr Anyenini alleged that Mr Domelevo was sacked as a result of he pursued people concerned within the theft and embezzlement of public funds, efficiently recovering tens of millions of cedis in stolen cash.

    Mr Anyenini expressed concern over the state of governance in Ghana, stating that corruption has turn into normalised and can persist until residents take a stand.

    “Ghana misplaced 18.41 billion cedis prior to now 5 years,” he stated, including that the losses needs to be known as theft moderately than irregularities. He emphasised that the funds have been misplaced on account of “thievery and misuse”.

    He additional lamented that people who stole and misused public assets haven’t been held accountable, warning that such impunity suggests the observe is much from over.

    He urged Ghanaians to boost their voices and demand that leaders respect the structure and be certain that public assets are used responsibly for the advantage of the nation.
