    Galamsey Fight: Lands Ministry hints at possible repeal of LI 2462 in renewed measures

    The incident has intensified calls for presidency to deal decisively with what many specialists describe as “environmental terrorism.” Critics have additionally faulted the President for failing to declare a direct state of emergency.

    In the meantime, Minister for Overseas Affairs Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has emphasised that authorities will now embark on a ruthless nationwide battle towards unlawful mining. He careworn that President Mahama will personally lead what he described as a relentless and unprecedented marketing campaign to eradicate the menace.
