    GCYE names Joyce Mogtari as Patron; launches Push for Women Entrepreneurs

    The Ghana Chamber of Younger Entrepreneurs (GCYE) has formally named Joyce Bawah Mogtari, Presidential Advisor and Particular Aide to President John Dramani Mahama, as Patron of the Chamber. The announcement was made on the Younger Girls Enterprise Summit, the place stakeholders rallied behind a nationwide name to speed up financial empowerment for younger Ghanaian girls.

    Delivering her keynote tackle, Mrs. Mogtari reaffirmed the Nationwide Democratic Congress’s dedication to advancing women-led improvement by way of focused insurance policies and inclusive progress methods. She cited main proposals below a future Mahama-led administration, together with the Massive Push Agenda, the Nationwide Enterprise Mission, the STEM initiative, and a newly proposed Girls’s Improvement Financial institution, to be led by the Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang.

    Sherif Ghali, CEO of the Ghana Chamber of Younger Entrepreneurs, mentioned the Chamber’s Nationwide Enterprise Agenda is serving as a strategic roadmap for advancing youth and ladies entrepreneurship. The Agenda, first launched in 2023, outlines what authorities companies, the personal sector, improvement companions, and monetary establishments should do to assist entrepreneurial progress.

    “We’re making a platform for monitoring progress, accountability, and collaboration throughout sectors. There’s a task for the presidency, ministries, and companies. That is how we create a united entrance to assist younger girls in enterprise.”

    The summit, designed solely to amplify girls’s voices in enterprise, exceeded expectations, drawing greater than 100 younger girls entrepreneurs and notable dignitaries. Ghali emphasised that what started as a maiden version is now set to grow to be an annual flagship initiative.

    Modester Reuben, a communications specialist and founding father of the Nuvanta Basis, praised the occasion for its sensible insights and empowering tone.

    “It was interactive, educative, and impactful. This sort of platform helps girls develop abilities and start their entrepreneurial journeys with confidence”

    For others like Irene Combey, founding father of Mom’s Kitchen in Kasoa, the summit highlighted the pressing want for platforms that particularly elevate girls in male-dominated industries.
