    Gender Minister reaffirms commitment to strengthening civil society partnerships

    The Minister for Gender, Youngsters, and Social Safety, Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has reaffirmed the federal government’s dedication to deepening collaboration with civil society organisations to drive innovation, empower communities, and advance inclusive growth.

    She made the remarks on Monday, December 1, 2025, on the regional convening of the Shifting the Energy Programme, the place she formally launched the Civil Society Strengthening Programme (CSSP) Technique as Visitor of Honour.

    The occasion, organised by STAR-Ghana Basis and its companions, introduced collectively civil society leaders, growth actors and worldwide organisations to stipulate a renewed imaginative and prescient for strengthening CSO management and resilience throughout Ghana, Zambia and Malawi.

    Dr. Lartey described the launch of the CSSP Technique as “greater than a proper presentation,” noting that it alerts a collective dedication to reimagining the position of civil society in shaping growth outcomes on the continent.

    She stated the technique locations robust emphasis on native possession, long-term sustainability and strategic partnerships.

    The Minister highlighted the important contribution of civil society to Ghana’s social growth agenda, stressing that efficient implementation of gender, baby safety and social welfare insurance policies depends closely on collaboration with CSOs.

    She counseled the sector for amplifying the voices of ladies and kids, strengthening group buildings, selling accountability and offering proof that informs nationwide policymaking.

    She added that the Ministry stays dedicated to creating platforms that carry authorities and civil society collectively to deal with rising challenges affecting weak teams.

    Dr. Lartey additionally praised STAR-Ghana Basis and its companions for his or her sustained funding in organisational growth and capacity-strengthening initiatives, describing their assist as important to Ghana’s progress.

    Coinciding with World AIDS Day, the Minister used the event to name for stronger advocacy and community-led efforts within the nationwide HIV response.

    She urged stakeholders to work collectively to scale back new infections and make sure that all individuals, notably weak teams, can entry therapy and social assist free from stigma and discrimination.
