    GFA Congress approves third presidential term

    The Ghana Soccer Affiliation (GFA) has voted to increase presidential time period limits from two to 3 phrases at its annual congress on Tuesday.

    Members authorized the constitutional modification by 114 votes to 10 on the thirty first Unusual Session of Congress held on the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram.

    The change takes rapid impact, permitting future GFA presidents to serve as much as 12 years in workplace by way of three four-year phrases.

    Congress additionally authorized a second modification selling the Girls’s Soccer Consultant on the GFA Government Council to Second Vice-President. The transfer goals to spice up gender illustration in soccer management.

    Representatives from Ghana’s Premier League, Division One League, Girls’s Premier League, regional soccer associations and the Skilled Footballers Affiliation of Ghana attended the assembly.

    The amendments replicate efforts to reform Ghana’s soccer governance construction and strengthen long-term stability within the sport.
