    Ghana Armed Forces retires soldiers after 30 years’ service

     The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) will from this month begin the final launch of the primary batch of troopers who’ve competed their authorised years of service in ac­cordance with GAF rules.

    This might contain the final launch of personnel of the 1995 and 1996 12 months teams who had accomplished their 30-year service and had absolutely attained the compul­sory retirement age.

    The announcement of the final launch of the troopers was contained in a press state­ment issued and signed by the Performing Director Basic Public Relations, GAF, Captain (Ghana Navy) Veronica Adzo Arhin and copied The Ghanaian Occasions on Thursday.

    “The Ghana Armed Forc­es (GAF) needs to formally announce to most people that it’s going to resume basic releases of Troopers who’ve accomplished their authorised years of service in accordance with GAF regula­tions. Basic releases of Troopers in GAF was suspended 5 years in the past in keeping with CI 129, which prolonged their phrases of workplace for a further 5 12 months,” the state­ment mentioned.

    “Consequently, the primary batch of basic releases after the 5-year suspension will com­mence in Might 2025. This may contain the honourable launch of distinguished personnel of the 1995 and 1996 12 months teams after efficiently finishing 30 years of meritorious service or having absolutely attained the obligatory retirement age in keeping with GAF Rules,” it added.

    The GAF mentioned that the com­mitment to responsibility by the 1995 and 1996 12 months teams underneath very difficult situations, has been instrumental in safeguarding the sovereignty and stability of the nation and enhanced international peace and safety.
