    Ghana Chamber of Mines appoints Kenneth Ashigbey as new CEO

    Ing. Dr Kenneth Ashigbey

    The Ghana Chamber of Mines has introduced the appointment of Ing. Dr Kenneth Ashigbey as its new Chief Government Officer (CEO).

    The appointment comes into impact from 1st June 2025. Concurrently, Ahmed Dasana Nantogmah has been named because the organisation’s first-ever Chief Working Officer (COO).

    These appointments, in line with the Chamber, underscore a renewed dedication to innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable development inside Ghana’s dynamic mining sector.

    Ing. Dr Ashigbey brings a various portfolio of management expertise spanning media, know-how, infrastructure, and engineering.

    Because the newly appointed CEO, he’s anticipated to steer the strategic path of the Chamber, deepen stakeholder engagement, and champion coverage advocacy to boost the competitiveness and sustainability of Ghana’s mining business.

    Mr Nantogmah’s appointment to the newly established position of COO displays the Chamber’s drive to strengthen its operational effectivity.

    He will likely be liable for overseeing day-to-day actions and making certain the efficient execution of strategic initiatives. Mr Nantogmah brings intensive experience in mining coverage and company affairs, making him well-suited to ship on the Chamber’s formidable operational objectives.

    Commenting on the appointments, Mr Michael Edem Akafia, Esq., President of the Ghana Chamber of Mines, said, “The appointment of Ing. Kenneth Ashigbey and Ahmed Nantogmah heralds a brand new chapter for the Chamber. Their mixed experience, management, and imaginative and prescient will likely be instrumental in navigating the dynamic panorama of the mining business and advancing the pursuits of our members and the nation.”

    The Chamber reaffirmed its dedication to fostering a resilient, accountable, and globally aggressive mining sector that contributes considerably to nationwide growth.

    This management transition is considered as a pivotal second within the Chamber’s efforts to align with worldwide greatest practices and promote sustainable mineral useful resource governance in Ghana.

    Ing. Dr Kenneth Ashigbey not too long ago resigned because the CEO of the Ghana Telecoms Chamber to take up this new position.
