    Ghana Government to pay Cocoa farmers 70% of World Market Price

    The Minister for Meals and Agriculture, Eric Opoku, has introduced that the federal government will provide cocoa farmers 70% of the world market worth for his or her produce, exceeding the initially proposed 60%.

    This resolution is geared toward motivating farmers, growing manufacturing, and strengthening Ghana’s place because the world’s second-largest producer of cocoa.

    The announcement follows the Minister’s earlier remarks in Parliament, the place he emphasised the necessity to incentivise cocoa farmers to reinforce manufacturing and assist the nation’s financial system.

    In a Fb publish on Saturday, Mr Opoku reiterated the federal government’s dedication to revitalising the sector, significantly in response to declining cocoa processing output.

    “Since 2023, CPC’s manufacturing has been on a downward pattern.
