Ghanaian gospel musician Great Ampong has launched a brand new tune titled ‘Apology,’ through which he expresses regret for his earlier marketing campaign tune in help of the New Patriotic Get together (NPP).

In ‘Apology,’ Ampong particularly addresses his 2024 election marketing campaign tune, which contained indecent lyrics directed at President John Mahama and the Nationwide Democratic Congress (NDC). He acknowledges his missteps and seeks forgiveness from the general public for aligning himself with the NPP through the elections.

That is the tune Nice Ampong is now apologizing to Ghanaians for releasing… Man actually mentioned rather a lot! 😂 pic.twitter.com/014wVj7fhV

Reflecting on his resolution, Ampong admits in the song that he now regrets supporting the NPP and sees it as a mistake. He urges Ghanaians to maneuver past political divisions post-election and embrace nationwide unity.

The tune has sparked combined reactions amongst netizens. Whereas some commend him for taking accountability, others stay unconvinced by his apology. Critics argue that the apology appears insincere, as his unique marketing campaign tune stays obtainable on streaming platforms. Some have dismissed his gesture as mere ‘bootlicking’ behaviour for survival.
