    Government outlines 3-day national mourning programme to honour crash victims

    The federal government has introduced a three-day nationwide mourning programme, from Thursday, August 7 to Saturday, August 9, 2025, to honour the victims of the latest helicopter crash.

    In a press release issued by the Presidency signed by Spokesperson to the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu revealed that the mourning interval will start with a public laying of flowers and lighting of candles on the Ceremonial Backyard in entrance of the Jubilee Home at 1:00 PM on Thursday.

    It invited members of the general public, households, and associates to take part within the act of remembrance.

    The assertion famous that the laying of flowers and lighting of candles will proceed on Friday, August 8, to permit extra residents the prospect to pay their respects and categorical solidarity with the bereaved.

    It added that interval of mourning will conclude on Saturday, August 9, with an “Night of Reflections and Memorials” on the Forecourt of the State Home, beginning at 5:00 PM.

    The occasion is predicted to deliver Ghanaians collectively to mirror on the lives and contributions of the departed.

    “These three days provide our nation a significant alternative to collectively mourn and mirror on the profound loss we’ve skilled,” the assertion learn.
