    Govt committed to strengthening research, devt-Minister

     The Authorities is dedicated to strengthening re­search and devel­opment to put scientific analysis on the centre of socio-economic growth, the Minister of En­vironment, Science and Technol­ogy (MEST), Dr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, has said.

    In accordance with the Minister, gov­ernment was conscious of the necessity to rethink funding in analysis, and poised to step up efforts to­wards making sources accessible to advertise sustainable analysis.

    He was talking on Tuesday on the Proof for Innovation (E4I) workshop organised below the auspices of CSIR-Science and Know-how Coverage Analysis Insti­tute (CSIR-STEPRI) and Inter­nationwide Improvement Analysis Centre (IDRC).

    The workshop was on the theme: ‘Supporting Programmes and Insurance policies for Sustainable En­terprises ecosystem.’

    The workshop delivered to­gether companions from different IDRC tasks, involving SMEs and startups, analysis and devel­opment actors on affect make investments­ing, amongst many others.

    The Minister stated the position of upper training and analysis establishments was key in making certain a sturdy and sustainable discourse.

    ‘‘In Ghana, we’re proud to help initiatives that drive this agenda ahead.     She said that the E4I Workshop would tackle key challenges, discover transforma­tive options, and work in direction of strengthening networks amongst innovation businesses.

    Furthermore, she famous that constructing robust connections amongst innovation businesses is essential for fostering collabora­tion, sharing sources, scaling improvements, influencing insurance policies and advocating for the wants of MSMEs, finally driving impactful options for financial development.

    The Proof for Innovation (E4I) initiative sought to gener­ate new proof on the per­formance and the distributional impacts of innovation help programmes for SMEs; promote collaboration between analysis­ers and innovation businesses; and strengthen networks and capability for evaluation and implementation of innovation insurance policies.
